Hilayon Press is the publisher of Breaking Bread in Galilee – A Culinary Journey into the Promised Land, by Abbie Rosner.

Breaking Bread in Galilee is an exploration of the culinary landscape of the Galilee, that reveals traditional foodways that are described in the Bible that are still being practiced today.   It is also a celebration of the cultural intricacies of the Galilee, and friendships formed across the Jewish-Arab divide through a dialogue over food.

Abbie Rosner has written about the multi-cultural culinary landscape of the Galilee for Gastronomica, Wine Spectator and Lilith magazines.  She also leads Culinary Tours of the Galilee, and blogs at Galilee Seasonality.  Originally from Washington, D.C., she has lived in Alonei Aba, a moshav in the Lower Galilee, since 1986.
